Idar Vedul the organiser also kindly gave the following additional information for shooters coming from the UK (via Don Roberston – Thank you):

1. All UK competitors can pay for the entry and hotel accommodation on arrival in Trondheim which includes credit card payments.

2. The army camp accommodation is not an option this year but an alternate cheaper hotel is on the web site and it is only 5 min from the shoot location by car, there may be a shuttle bus runs to this location.

3. The cost of entry is approx 65 pounds for all the days’ comps with the exception of the Olden Cup on Thursday Friday evening which is 4.50 pounds entry with the winner taking all the cash entry in the discipline.

4. All range orders etc. are given in English and it is run on full ISSF rules.

5. The super finals in each discipline on sat evening has first prize of 750 pounds approx with cash prizes for second and third positions.

6. Air transport is the only option to Trondheim and the cheapest travel is with Norwegian from Stanstead direct Trondheim for about 100 pound return if you book early enough www.norwegian.no. Also flights from Aberdeen and Newcastle to Stavanger with onward travel to Trondheim with SAS . Again you can get a reasonable fare if you book in advance. Its Wideroe or SAS from Aberdeen Newcastle. You can also travel Edinburgh or Glasgow to Amsterdam and then on to Trondheim with KLM but be aware that Dutch customs require details of all firearms transiting through Schipol now so it might be difficult on that routing.

7 The shoot venue is the Rica hotel which is 400 meters from the door of the airport terminal and if the weather is OK you can take the walkway to the hotel. Also the Rica hotel has a shopping mall opposite it where you can eat at the two cafe’s inside.

8 The Rica hotel is the best shooting venue that you will ever likely to get, you can sit in the lounge and take your ease and watch the shooting results on the large projector.

9 There are no license requirements for air-weapons in |Norway just ensure your entry is with you and that air cylinders are off the pistol or rifle.

10 Bring your own booze and you get good prices on arrival in Norway on production of your boarding pass.
