Open Training Days One day 10 - 5
Anyone with an appropriate air pistol can attend these days. Delegates are put in groups according to experience and the course ontent will be appropriate to each group.
The squad coach and members can often be found in attendance.
Venues are usually Callander and Carlisle, but we can organise an event to suit your club or requirements on request.

The Range Officer course covers Safety, Competition Rules and Range, topics such as preparation, control, equipment, malfunctions, Orders, Etiquette, Commands, Competencies, responsibilities and Kit.
This is Pistol and Gallery Rifle Specific and does not include MOD Ranges.
Assessment
Delegates must manage a range running a competition under observation.
Usually at an SPA event but can be undertaken at the delegates home club event; depending on the area, there may be an additional cost for the assessors travel expenses.
The courses are normally held at the National Sports Centre in Largs.

Course
The Club Coach course deals with coaching methods rather than shooting disciplines and includes:
Law, Safety, Equipment, Communication, Presentation skills, Organisation, Body positioning and Process of firing a shot (pistol or rifle – this is coaching not discipline specific), helping people to learn, putting it all together in a coaching session, code of conduct and general documents.
Assessment
Delegates must deliver a 20 minute session under observation.

CRBS
To gain NSRA certification, a Criminal Records Bureau Check must be carried out by the NSRA. This process commences after assessment and costs £30 (at time of processing).
