Membership

 

Membership is open to most individuals and runs from 1st January to 31st December, as follows:

·         Individuals      £25

·         Junior             £10  (must be under 21 on 1s Jan of the year  
                             joining)

·         Family            £35  (Husband/Wife, Father/Son etc – any two
                             family members.)

·         Associations    £150

·         Club affiliation £15

 

Individual, Junior and Family members receive entry forms for all competitions and Championships. Entry fees are lower than for non-members. Newsletters and additional information on shooting matters are circulated intermittently as necessary. Members eligible to compete for Scotland can, on attaining the Qualification Standards, gain entry to the National Pistol Squad from which teams are selected to represent Scotland at National and International events.

 

Club Affiliation - Is open to all clubs, regardless of location, for £15.

Club Secretaries/ Match Secretaries receive entry forms for the SPA Postal Leagues (summer and winter), newsletters and updated information on Firearms legislation and other shooting matters. We can also process CRBS disclosures free of charge for their members working as range officers or club coaches etc.

 

Associations can affiliate to the SPA for a fee of £150.  We can run special events for your organisation e.g. specific competitions or training sessions customised for your requirements.

 

Some of the benefits of membership are:

·         Postal leagues – winter & summer 11 disciplines

·         Entry to shoulder to shoulder competitions

·         Lower fee for competition entries than non members (except championships)

§  SPA 1’s, Air 10’s, Air 4’s, PL 7’s and PL 7 centres

·         Access to sale of SPA merchandise:

§  Polo shirts, Sweatshirts, Pens, Key rings, Cufflinks etc.

·         Membership is the gateway to competing for Scotland

·         Access to coaching for juniors and qualifying members

·         Access to open training workshops (by request)

·         The chance to win medals and trophies in all classes at:

§  The Scottish Open 10m Air Pistol Championships

§  The Grand Prix Series
