The SPA Merit Badge program is open to any shooter who is either an individual member of the SPA or a member of an SPA affiliated club. Ways to gain the merit badges are:-
Members or clubs can purchase stickers from the SPA (£1) and shoot the discipline at their club, authenticated by their club official and sent to the SPA by post.
Alternatively individuals can enter at any SPA competition meeting. Members can nominate before shooting, pay a £1 entry fee and shoot concurrently with the selected discipline competition they have entered.
The cost of the merit badge, along with the discipline bar, if successful is £5.00.
A certificate will also be awarded.
Marksman, Expert and Mastershot Merit Badges are offered. Currently the following discipline bars are available as follows and relate to the competitions as listed:
